UncleQ, Shenzhen

Though it may resemble a café, Uncle Q is devoted entirely to the culture of lemon tea. Within its unusually spacious 200-square-meter interior, the design transforms a simple beverage spot into a vibrant social hub—welcoming everyone from parents with strollers to self-study groups, mobile gamers, and neighborhood theater lovers.

At its heart, Uncle Q imagines community as an extension of home—a place built on quiet understanding, where people can momentarily step away from the outside world and feel at ease. The space invites participation and self-governance; guests are not just visitors, but co-creators of their own experiences. Through shared rhythms of gathering and exchange, Uncle Q becomes more than a teahouse—it becomes a living room for the city.
